Joy! Entertainment Shinkigeki” is a comedy performance that debuted in November 15th 2015 and has been ongoing for years at Namba Grand Kagetsu (NGK). This year’s Joy! Joy! Entertainment Shinkigeki was Aki’s 23rd Shinkgeki which took place on YouTube’s web platform with absolutely no audience in the theater. Inviting talented performers from all across Japan, the Entertainment Shinkigeki provides a wonderful collaboration of the typical Osaka-styled Shinkigeki comedy and real quality dance performance. You will feel like you’re seeing a peaceful dream and it’s a guarantee you will feel heart warmed at the end of the play. Hearing demands of wanting to see the Shinkigeki over and over, the Entertainment Shinkigeki DVD was released in 2018. Aki’s Entertainment Shinkigeki was originally planned in May 2020, however due to the influence of the COVID-19, it had been cancelled. With the hopes of being able to provide this exciting Shinkigeki to everyone living all across Japan, Aki decided to plan a Japan tour in the new year. In spite of his hopes, the situation did not get better so Aki decided to tackle a new platform that will allow him to provide this exceptional entertainment show to the whole nation; On YouTube! The past year has been rough for everyone of all ages. Having to live through an unordinary and aggravating lifestyle, we’ve been living with stress throughout the entire year. As such, Aki’s goal was to bring joy to as much people as possible, so he decided to make this event free of charge. Here’s a story about last year’s December. Discussing with staff and members about how to accomplish a Shinkigeki free of charge with no audience, the greatest issue was how to get the funds. One idea came to mind… How about reaching out for company presidents and owners who’ve came to Aki’s plays and kindly love Aki? Of course, asking for help was not easy. It was something he had never done and would not have dared doing. Despite his worries, Aki decided to reach out for help… All of them agreed willingly! With the support of such kind and generous people, we’ve managed to put this in shape. From, booking the theater, reaching out for professional cameramen, appointing with lightning designers and sound crews, and gathering performers…, everything was thanks to their exceptional support. On Christmas of 2020, Aki announced through his social media he will be putting this Entertainment Shinkigeki in shape. “When everything is safe, I will go visit each place. But for now, please enjoy the free live streaming of Joy! Joy! Entertainment Shinkigeki on January 29th on YouTube!!
